Our Mission

Engaging people to strengthen their lives and communities
through research-based educational programming.

     Ohio State University Extension is the outreach arm of The Ohio State University with local offices in each of Ohio's 88 counties. The Franklin County Office offers diverse programming for our citizens in the areas of 4-H Youth Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Community Development, and Horticulture.

Our goal is to help improve and strengthen the lives of all
Franklin County residents - rural, urban and suburban.

Franklin County 4-H Recognizes Top Achievers
The 2009 Franklin County 4-H Recognition Program, held on October 11, recognized over 500 4-H youth members and adult volunteers who achieved special honors this year. Awards presented included Gold, Silver, and Bronze Clover Achievement Pins, Citizenship/Community Service Awards, Public Speaking Awards, Leadership Awards, Outstanding 4-H Member Awards, and awards for special achievements in volunteerism.
