Essential oils are a growing global business and they have been used therapeutically for centuries. Though there is little published research on them, studies suggest positive associations between essential oil use and the treatment or management of conditions ranging from infection to pain to anxiety to nausea. Still, it is important to know that essential oils are not regulated or standardized, and they could cause harm if used improperly.
