Come see how Project Aquastar has expanded and evolved into a sustainable and productive non-profit urban education farm which is addressing food security in one of the most distressed neighborhoods in Columbus. Project AquaStar includes a new greenhouse and a closed loop circulating aquaponics ecosystem producing Tilapia and vegetables and herbs to serve their innovative 30 member “Buy One-Give One” CSA. More than 40 different fruits and vegetables are grown in high tunnel, in-ground, and aquaponics production systems. The farm uses regenerative soil management techniques and has added chickens and bees to the operation. An EPA Class II compost facility is also operated onsite.
