The OSU Fruit and Vegetable Safety Team educates growers of fresh produce about Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs). We strive to ensure a strong scientific basis behind the best practices taught and recommended by our team, provide helpful tools and resources to develop risk assessments and food safety plans for the farm, and promote high-quality, safe produce from Ohio growers.
Pre-registration is required by March 17 and is $5 per person. Participants will receive a resource workbook, handouts and a certificate of participation as verification for their customers that the farm operator has received the training. Anyone who sells fruits or vegetables at farmers markets, restaurants, corner stores, grocery stores, or any retail locations should consider attending.
