    ExploreAg introduces students to the various careers in science, engineering and technology in agricultural industries. ExploreAg is open to students from varied backgrounds, with diverse skills and interests, and provides them with an opportunity to explore and understand available career paths in the agriculture and food industries.     Come tour some of Central Ohio’s finest school gardens, centered in and around Franklin County. You will have the opportunity to view school gardens at the elementary, middle school and high school level. The gardens range from very large to small in scale, but you will be inspired regardless of the size. Learn about the journey each teacher took to get the school garden up and running, and also how the garden has benefited the students at that school. Specific schools on the tour include:

    Join us at the Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers' Market weekly for answering questions, assistance in selecting produce, free recipes, cooking demos, and other fun activities.  The Market accepts EBT for all qualifying purchases and offer incentive dollars through the Produce Perks Columbus program for fresh produce for all EBT users. The Produce Perks Columbus program will match up to $20 on qualifying purchases.

    Franklin County 4-H is partnering with the Metro Parks! On Saturday, June 8, 4-H members and friends are invited to 4-H Meets the Metro Parks. This fun interactive two hour workshop will highlight several of the 4-H natural resources projects taught by Metro Park naturalists and 4-H professionals. If you are taking a natural resources project this year, this event would be an excellent opportunity for you to add some entries to your project book's learning experience log! Topics covered will include birds, trees, and creeking (bring some shoes that can get wet).

    Join us for Franklin & Madison County Farm Bureaus' 8th annual Breakfast on the Farm This year's event will be June 8 from 8 to 11 am hosted by Becks. This is a FREE, outdoor event that is fun for all ages! Come enjoy a made-to-order omelet and a chance to learn more about local agriculture.The event will offer educational displays, farm animals, and fun activities for the whole family.
