    OSU Extension, Franklin County offers a free comprehensive home buyer education workshop series to help prospective home buyers in achieving their dream of owning a home. This home buyer education series will be held on November 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the OSU Extension, Franklin County Office (530 W. Spring St., Suite 275, Columbus, Ohio, 43215). Our program is one of only a handful in Central Ohio that is U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-certified and City of Columbus-approved.

    Bridging Fathers and Families through Financial Literacy is a free monthly program designed to assist parents who don't have custody of their children (specifically fathers) and are required by Franklin County courts to pay child support. Through the program participants take part in money management workshops, receive one-on-one budget counseling, and have access to multiple employment and educational resources/services. Upon successful completion of the program, participants have an opportunity to:

    Join us for this free financial literacy - money management workshop and learn how to create a monthly budget, improve your credit score, correct errors on your credit report, and use money-saving strategies in your daily finances. This month's series will be held November 4 and 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants must attend both workshops in a given month to receive a certificate of completion. The class is full. Registration is closed.

    The Ohio Master Urban Farmer Workshop series is an intensive educational program developed by OSU Extension. It is part of Extension's new Extension In the City program. This series of ten evening workshops and a Sunday field trip is designed to help individuals learn how to produce and market all kinds of food products in urban settings. While the workshop content will be introductory, individuals who already have some experience growing or marketing food products will benefit from participating.

    Registration is from 6p.m until 6:30 p.m. Class starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. Those that arrive late will be counted as absent and will not receive any court attendance credit. Participants must register online. Court personnel do not do this for you. All participants must attend with their parent/guardian regardless of age.
