This three-day series, scheduled from June 11-13, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. near the Ohio State University campus, is open to educators and others who would like to learn how to garden with children in school, afterschool and other settings. Some of the topics to be covered include site selection, sustainability, soil testing, a history of plant-based foods, behavior management in the garden, bees and native pollinators, garden specific activities such as mulching, composting and amending; integrated pest management, soil testing, growing vegetables, volunteer management, engaging stakeholders, hydroponics and aquaponics, the farm to school program and more.
