Mission: This VA collaborative project aims to facilitate Veteran mental health wellness while providing an introduction to gardening/farming to create meaningful opportunities for Veterans interestest in pursuing a career in agriculture.

Who: Veterans facing behavorial health difficulties related to depression, anxiety, or PTSD, who are interested in gaining classroom/hands-on skills while also benefitting from the therapeutic aspects of gardening. 

When: Every other Tuesday from March 26 - September 3, 2019, 4-6pm. 

Where: OSU Extension, Franklin County Office, 530 West Spring Street, Suite 275, Columbus, OH 43215, and Waterman Farm near OSU campus. Veterans must be independent with transportation to and from the course locations.

Cost: No cost to qualifying Veterans. Space is limited to 20 participants. Must be enrolled at the VA. Need to be able to stand 1-2 hours/lean over/lift 20 pounds and commit to a 14-week classroom/hands-on training program.
