Dates for the next Ohio Master Urban Farmer Workshop have been announced!

Classes will be Thursday evenings 6:30-9:30 p.m. starting September 14, 2017 and ending November 16, 2017. There will be a Columbus Urban Ag bus tour on Sunday, September 24. Workshop classes will be held at the Franklin County Extension Office (530 W. Spring St, Suite 275, Columbus, OH 43215).

September: 14, 21, 28,  24 bus tour

The Ohio Master Urban Farmer Workshop Series is an intensive educational program developed by OSU Extension. It is part of the new Extension In the City program.

This series of ten evening workshops and a Sunday field trip is designed to help individuals learn how to produce and market all kinds of food products in urban settings. While the workshop content will be introductory, individuals who already have some experience growing or marketing food products will benefit from participating.

The cost of the entire program is just $175 per participant, which will include a course notebook, several books, light refreshments each evening, one free soil test, and a bus tour.

  • Fruit Production in Urban Settings
  • Business Planning for Gardens or any Urban Agriculture Project
