The fifth annual School Garden Conference “Through the Looking Glass” will be held Friday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Whether you are a new or seasoned school gardener, you won't want to miss it!
This year the conference will feature many aspects of School Gardening. Presenters include Jim Reding and Evan McCullough from Granville High School talking about drones in the school garden, Carmen Mendoza from Grandview High School and Katie Young from Columbus City Schools sharing information about their respective school gardens, Jenny Lobb and Danielle Seidita from Franklin County OSU Extension sharing ideas for spring and fall produce, Beth Bridgeman from Antioch College with seed saving in the classroom, and much more. You will also experience hands-on activities such as making a seed ball egg carton. A certificate for six contact hours will be given.
