In February, our Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteers expanded their educational outreach with The Edible Garden display at The Columbus Dispatch Home and Garden Show. The Edible Garden hands-on display allowed visitors of the Home and Garden Show to learn from our trained Master Gardener Volunteers how to plant edibles such as herbs, vegetables, fruit, and tea. The Master Gardener Volunteers used raised-bed gardens and container gardens at the show to demonstrate how to plant and care for these varying types of edible plants at one's home.

This year, over 3,200 individuals visited the Edible Garden display and participated in 19 different workshops taught by the Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteers. Thank you to our Master Gardener Volunteers for their time and dedication devoted to teaching others how to garden. A special thank you to Lowes and DeMonye's Greenhouse for their support of  The Edible Garden display.
