Congratulations, graduates! OSU Extension, Franklin County recently celebrated the graduation of 41 individuals from the 2016 Master Urban Farmer program. Former Columbus mayor Greg Lashutka delivered the ceremony's address, held in early November. This 10-week urban agriculture workshop series provides participants with an in-depth knowledge about growing, producing, and marketing a variety of foods in an urban setting. The recent grads join a total of 196 Master Urban Farmers who have completed the program since its inception, many who have gone on to start or expand urban farm or food businesses.
