Before starting your house hunt, you must take our free Home Buyer Education workshops! Certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), our series of workshop explores the basics of budgeting; securing a mortgage loan; understanding the home buying process; negotiating a real estate contract; learning about the closing process and much more. Those who successfully complete the series will earn a Certificate of Completion, which is often required when applying for down payment and closing cost assistance programs. These workshops are currently offered in the City of Columbus and throughout Franklin County.
