Are you interested in being part of the group that donated $440,271 worth of volunteer hours in 2018? How about the group who raised and donated 20,004 pounds of fruits and vegetables in 2018? If so, we encourage you to attend the final informational session for the 2020 class of Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV) to held at the Hilltop Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library on August 6, 2019 at 7PM. Interested parties must attend this session to receive an application. Applications are due September 3, 2019 and only available at the informational session.
As a bit of background, the Franklin County MGV program is the largest in the state of Ohio. The program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Franklin County residents, who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities around Franklin County. Volunteers aren’t required to have gardening skills or knowledge; but a passion for learning about gardening and sharing this knowledge with others is a must. You may learn more about the MGV program here.
