Earlier this spring, local gardeners learned new horticulture skills at two hands-on workshops hosted by OSU Extension, Franklin County. Nearly 25 gardeners learned techniques for grafting fruit trees, including how to reproduce heirloom and other fruit tree varieties that are no longer available commercially. In another workshop, more than 50 gardeners learned to successfully incorporate different Hydrangeas in their gardens and landscapes, including how to properly prune, plant, fertilize, and propagate the plants, and they received a Hydrangea to take home.
