Please welcome Tim McDermott to the Franklin County Office of OSU Extension. Tim began serving as a half-time Extension Educator for Agriculture and Natural Resources in Franklin County on October 2, 2017. Tim is replacing Brian Kleinke, who left OSU Extension in October to pursue other opportunities out-of-state.

Tim also serves as the OSU Extension Educator for Agriculture and Natural Resources on a half-time basis in the Hocking County Office. He is a 1996 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine who joined Extension in fall of 2015 after a twenty year career in private practice Veterinary Medicine in Franklin County.  He has been a community gardener in Grandview Heights for the last twenty years providing community gardening education classes for the City of Grandview Heights' Wallace Gardens.  Tim is looking forward to using his two Areas of Specialization in Animal Sciences programming and Backyard, Community and Urban Farming to assist Franklin County residents.
