Nearly 35 urban fruit and vegetable growers learned how to safely produce, handle, and market their produce during a Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) workshop, hosted by the OSU Fruit and Vegetable Safety Team. The participants, including those who sold produce at farmers markets, farm stands, or directly to retail locations, learned best practices to develop risk assessments and food safety plans to help to reduce the risk of microbial contamination.
