Two of our team members recently received awards for their long-time service and dedication to serving the community. Susan Colbert, Community Development Program Coordinator, was presented the Raymond A. Schindler Excellence in Community Development Extension Award. This award recognizes a CD Extension professional for significant programmatic strengths, major contributions and innovative approaches achieved over the course of their Extension career. Mike Hogan, Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator, was recognized by the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association's (OEFFA) 2019 Service Award. Mike has partnered with OEFFA for more than a decade on the Ohio Sustainable Farm Tour and Workshop Series and on workshops presented at the conference. In speaking of his experience working with OEFFA Mike had this to say, “Working with OEFFA has been a privilege. OEFFA helped the university evolve its understanding of sustainability in agriculture at a time when many concepts about sustainability were not well understood or well-received.
