Do you have or know of a 3rd grade student interested in food and gardening? Consider joining our 10-week garden study! OSU Extension, Franklin County is working with researchers from The Ohio State University to study the health and wellness of 3rd grade children and their adult caregivers. All enrolled participants will receive FREE garden produce, health education and wearable fitness trackers!

For more information or to enroll, email garden@osumc.edu. If you are selected to participate in the study, you may be asked to attend weekly educational activities at the OSU Waterman Farm on Kenny Road. These educational activities will include harvesting, cooking and tasting fresh produce, and they will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm, starting June 14. Students not chosen for the activity nights will receive other resources, in addition to the free produce from the OSU garden and wearable fitness trackers.
