1. Ohio 4-H Night with the Blue Jackets

    Ohio 4-H Night with the Columbus Blue Jackets will be hosted on Thursday, March 22, 2018, when the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Florida Panthers. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.m and the puck will drop at 7:00 p.m. 

    Tickets start at $38 in the Upper Bowl and $65 in the Lower Bowl and for every ticket purchased, $10 - $20 will be donated back to the Ohio 4-H Foundation to be used for 4-H scholarships.

  3. Franklin County 4-H Program Alumnus Selected for National 4-H Leadership Role

    Carson Fulks has been selected to serve as one of eight youth from across the nation on the 2018 National 4-H Congress Youth Design Team. As a National 4-H Congress Youth Design Team member, Carson will plan and execute the national event with selected youth and adults. Carson will also have the opportunity to play a role in selecting session topics and speakers, while mentoring the National 4-H Congress Youth Leadership Team, and speaking in front of the entire 2018 Congress Delegation.

  4. Master Gardener Volunteers Class Started

    In January, the 2018 Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) Training Class began. This class is the largest MGV class in OSU Extension, Franklin County history with 60 students in the class. The MGV course consists of 70 hours of classroom instruction throughout a ten-week period. The students then are given a final exam on the material taught in class. After passing the final exam, the students become MGV interns and volunteer 50 hours at different MGV projects and gardens in Franklin County.

    Many of you, 4-H Camp Counselors are enjoying an extended weekend with this morning’s inclement weather causing a lot of schools to close. Our 4-H Educators have been watching the weather closely and believe the rising temperatures will help the roads improve by the time our meeting is scheduled this evening. We are still planning to meet for our counselor training this evening. We encourage you to discuss your attendance with your parents and only come to the meeting if they feel it is safe for you to venture out.
