  4. OSU Extension Partners with NBC4 WCMH-TV

    OSU Extension is partnering with NBC4 WCMH-TV to bring you Extension Today, a weekly segment that airs on Daytime Columbus each Wednesday as well as on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The first two segments covered growing tomatoes and making tomato salsa and street corn. The third segment aired on September 8 featured tips for tailgate grilling.   8. Food for a Long Life Mini-grants Available

    Ohio State University and Virginia Cooperative Extension are pleased to announce that they are able to offer Food for a Long Life mini-grants. The program will support healthy food access, consumption, and knowledge among young children (birth – age 5), older adults (age 60+), and their families in the Near East Side of Columbus (zip codes 43203 & 43205) and Lynchburg, Virginia. Franklin County Extension staff will collaborate with community partners to pursue goals that align with the FFLL program objective.

This program offers accessible, online learning suitable for older adults, families, and care partners. Some of the topics included are Nutrition Needs for Health Aging, Cooking for One or Two, and Universal Design: Housing Solutions for All Ages and Abilities.
