IMPORTANT CARTEENS INFORMATION

Court personnel do not register participants. All participants must register online. Please note that class size is limited due to conference room occupancy restrictions.

The sessions listed below are the only available sessions. If the available dates fall after your assigned deadline, you must contact the court to request an extension.

Please note, we do not maintain a waitlist or accept walk-in registrations. 

Registration:

Payment:

  • A $50 non-refundable credit card payment is required at the time of registration. Failure to submit payment will result in your spot being forfeited.
  • If you weren't directed to the payment site after registering, please click here.
  • Parents/guardians are not charged for attendance.

Course Information and Logistics:

  • The 4-H CARTEENS program will be held on the assigned date. Check-in is from 6:00–6:20 p.m., and the session begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. If the youth and parent/guardian are not checked in and seated before 6:30 p.m., the youth will be considered absent and will not receive court attendance credit.
  • All participants must attend with a parent/guardian, regardless of age. Participants may not leave before the session concludes. Anyone who leaves early will not receive court attendance credit and will be required to appear for a further court hearing.
  • All cell phones and other devices must be turned off during the program by all participants, including parents/guardians. Reading books or engaging in other activities is not permitted. Please contact your court/diversion personnel if you are unable to adhere to this policy.
  • The Ohio State University is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited on all campus property, including inside your vehicle.
  • Respectful behavior is required at all times during the session. Any youth or parent/guardian exhibiting unruly, disrespectful, or uncooperative behavior will be removed from the session. Court-referred offenders will be reported to Juvenile Court personnel, and the court will provide instructions regarding a further hearing.
  • Vending machines are not available on site. You may bring a bottled or canned non-alcoholic beverage, or a beverage in a cup.

Cancellation / No-Show / Date Change:

  • No-shows may be assessed a $25 fee to reschedule if notification is not provided to Franklin4H@osu.edu by noon on the day of the event, as there is always a waiting list.
  • Cancellations and date changes are subject to the same guidelines.
  • You may reschedule once at no cost. Any additional changes will incur a $25 fee.
