The 4-H Cloverbud program is for youth who are age five as of Jan. 1 of the current year and enrolled in kindergarten, but not yet eligible as a 4-H club program member (at least age eight as of Jan. 1 of the current year and enrolled in third grade). The program exists as a distinctive component within the comprehensive 4-H Youth Development program and is an informal approach to developing confidence, social skills, decision-making abilities, subject-matter knowledge, and physical skills. As a Cloverbud, members have the opportunity to participate in club activities and various events specifically designed for them.
